FY 2025-2026 Agency Budget Requests
Week 11 Preview
The House will hold floor sessions on Tuesday (12pm), Wednesday (10am), and Thursday (10am). The House has 15 bills eligible for consideration on its calendar to begin the week. Some bills that will generate debate include:
H.3046 (online technological exploitation)
H.3045 (child sexual abuse)
H.3387 (unlawful occupants of property)
S.74 (electronic records disclosure)
H.3276 (Hands-Free and Distracted Driving Act)
H.3927 (prohibit DEI activities)
The Senate will hold floor sessions on Tuesday (12pm), Wednesday (1pm), and Thursday (11am). The Senate has 27 bills (19 are contested) and 13 joint resolutions (2 are contested) eligible for consideration on its calendar to begin the week. S.244 (tort reform plus dram shop) remains in the status of Special Order and its debate will likely consume most of the floor time. Some other uncontested bills that will generate debate include:
Week 10 Review
The House did not hold floor sessions and no bills were passed. Some committee reports were introduced on March 20 and placed on the calendar.
Senate floor sessions consumed 11 hours, 40 minutes, not including the “15 minute recess” that consumed 3 hours on Tuesday. The Senate passed eight bills and several congratulatory and memorial resolutions. Some legislation that passed the Senate last week included:

The Board of Economic Advisors (BEA) did not meet on March 20 but released its February 2025 monthly and year-to-date (YTD) figures. State revenues have grown 10.3% compared to the BEA estimate of 6.6%. As Governor McMaster has said many times, the state’s economy is booming.
